In Erich Fromm’s book Revolution of Hope (1968), he spoke of a movement that would combine the wish for profound social change with a new spiritual perspective. It’s aim would be the humanization of a technological world. At Higher Resources we believe that when employees of an organization are empowered to show the heart behind the logo of the company they work for anytime customers, fellow employees and/or their family members are involved in a work place tragedy, it is indeed a humanizing event. While trauma can shake the very foundation of the survivor’s belief system, kindness offered on the part of employees empowered to respond to them has a major impact on their ability to transcend the losses.
Aside from training and workshops offered for clients throughout the year, HRI continues to offer public workshops and conferences where compassion consciousness can be increased by direct exposure to survivors and responders.
